The Independent Booksellers Consortium is a group of booksellers that get together and talk about how to be the best booksellers they can be. Founded in 1993, it is a self-funded, limited-membership organization devoted to sharing ideas and improving its members' business operations.
IBC's current membership consists of thirty companies from across the United States. As of 2022, these stores have been in the bookselling business for a combined 1,385 years.
